Vasudhaiva Kutumbhakam – The Whole World is One Family

I am Chandini from India and I was inspired by the name “Globalizm” to share these thoughts.

The word “globalism” (or globalizm in this case!) reminds me of a Sanskrit phrase “Vasudhaiva Kutumbhakam” which means “the whole world is one family”.

In a family there are many members and each individual is a separate entity with different thinking, different likes and tastes, yet they are bonded by love and live in harmony.  Similarly when I look at India, I see people of 29 states and 7 union territories with different languages, different culture, religions and food habits, yet living happily with unity amidst diversity.

Perhaps Globalizm is also one such tool to bring people together to live a life full of unconditional love to build a better world where we learn to accept people as they are just as we love different beautiful flowers in the same garden . Whichever country a person may belong to, after all,  all are made of flesh and blood and a mind that longs for love and peace. When every individual puts in the effort for personal transformation the whole world will see a change and the earth will be a better place to live.  Globalizm can pave the way to make “Vasudhaiva Kutumbhakam”, one world family a reality.
